2011年に渡米。ニューヨークを拠点に15年間、メイクアップアーティストとしてファッション、ビューティー、広告の分野で活動。
自身の活動と並行して約10年間にわたり、James Kaliardos氏のコアチームの一員として、数多くのファッションショー、エディトリアル、広告制作に携わる。後年にはファーストアシスタントを務め、主要プロジェクトに参加。Diane Kendal氏のコアチームの一員としても、長年にわたりファッションショー、エディトリアル、広告制作に携わる。
長年にわたり培ってきた美への探求を写真表現へと発展させ、Beauty Photographerとして活動。メイクアップアーティストとして培った視点とフォトグラファーとしての視点を融合させ、美を多角的に捉えた独自のビジュアル表現を追求している。
2025年よりVisual Artistとして作品制作を開始。カメラを表現媒体とし、光や色彩を素材とした抽象作品を制作。写真という既存の枠組みにとらわれることなく、新たなビジュアル表現の可能性を探求している。
Beauty PhotographyとVisual Artという二つの領域を横断しながら、独自のビジュアル表現を追求している。
2026年夏より日本を拠点に活動。

Hiroto Yamauchi moved to New York in 2011 and spent the next 15 years working as a makeup artist across the fashion, beauty, and advertising industries.
For nearly a decade, he was a core member of James Kaliardos' team, later serving as his First Assistant on fashion shows, editorial productions, and advertising campaigns. He also worked extensively as a core team member with Diane Kendal on numerous fashion shows, editorials, and commercial projects.
Drawing on years of exploring the nature of beauty, Hiroto expanded his practice into Beauty Photography, combining the perspectives of a makeup artist and photographer to create a distinctive visual approach.
In 2025, he began working as a Visual Artist. Using the camera as a medium of expression, he creates abstract works centered on light and color, exploring a visual language that extends beyond the conventional boundaries of photography.
Working across Beauty Photography and Visual Art, Hiroto continues to pursue a distinctive visual language rooted in an ongoing exploration of beauty.
Based in Japan since the summer of 2026.
